The end of summer 2010 Ignite Sold Out retreat is scheduled for Friday, Jul 30 – Sunday, Aug 1 at the Georgia FFA/FHA Camp in Covington and every high school student at Cornerstone needs to be there!  For those of you who went to last year’s retreat, you’ll remember what an incredible weekend we had (mud pit, BLOB, awesome ministry, games...what more could you want???)…you definitely don’t want to miss this one! 

 

With only a few weeks left before the retreat, we need to finalize the attendee list by this Friday, July 9th so that we’ll know exactly how many to plan for.  Cost for the retreat is $100.00.  The cost includes all meals, lodging and a retreat T-Shirt.   To help you with keeping out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum, we have ordered brand new 2010-2011 Ignite Cards for each of you to sell to raise your money for the retreat.  Please see Pastor Kevin immediately if you have not picked up your cards yet.   The Ignite Cards are only $10 each and selling 10 cards will cover the cost of your trip.  Every student and leader will need to turn in half of your money (that’s $50) by Wednesday, July 21st with the remaining balance due by July 30th. We also have to order T-Shirts this week, so we’ll need every student or their parent to email Pastor Kevin at kevin@mycornerstonefellowship.org by this FRIDAY and specify your shirt size.   An information packet will be sent home the week of July 19th with all the details of the weekend.   A copy of the info packet will be sent out via email, also.

 

Finally, if for some reason you are not able to go on the retreat this year, PLEASE let Pastor Kevin know THIS WEEK.  We must have a firm count by Friday, July 9th!  It is especially important for all the rising freshmen to attend since this will be your first real opportunity to hang out with your Ignite friends as a new high school student!  Since school doesn’t start back until after the first week in August,  We’re hoping everyone will be able to attend (BTW, don’t leave your summer reading assignment waiting until last second!).
